In February 2022, we found out our Balwyn North Passive House was nominated for Australia’s Best House on Channel 9.   

Thanks to Black Brick Home Staging for getting the house camera ready with super short notice and within a tight time frame.  They were AMAZING. 

Unfortunately on the day the builder of this beautiful home,  Devin Grant from Grant Construction, was unable to make it to the filming, so I was nervously interviewed by presenter and property developer Andrew Purdie.  Andrew was great and really put me at ease.  After the first take, my nerves went and I was enjoying the interview and talking about this amazing home. 

During filming we couldn’t get any good footage of the outside of the home because the family had just moved in and due to COVID there was a delay on getting the landscaping done.

After a big pack up, we ended the day with a few celebratory drinks and debrief of the day.

But we had to keep our exciting day a secret until October when the episode was televised.  Once we saw the episode, we realised we had won the Sustainability Award (this was announced at the end of the episode).
