Meet Janine
Senior Designer
After completing her Masters of Architecture and Bachelor of Environments in Melbourne, Janine went on to studying her Masters of Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences in Delft, Netherlands.
Janine’s architectural metier is extensive and has taken her across the globe working in Australia, India, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Canada and the Netherlands. And we are now lucky enough to have her as one of our senior designers at Gruen Eco Design.
She is passionate about what she does and has found her penchant lies in;
- Community development
- Housing crisis, disaster relief residential construction
- Regenerative design, energy systems and closed loop cycles within homes
- Ecologic and sustainable design in medium density housing
- Masterplanning and future proofing a home design for evolving needs and growing families
In the next 5 years, Janine hopes to make sustainable design accessible, approachable and long lasting within Australia, and to inject her style, which is truthful, honest design with connection to nature.
Out of the office, Janine enjoys exploring landscapes through photography and art and bringing inspiration from nature into her designs. She loves being outdoors, hiking, camping or playing footy.
