Peter comes to Gruen with many years of experience from both Australia and overseas. His forte is his attention to detail and making designs both buildable and enjoyable to build.
A fan of brutalism architecture and its closeness to nature, he appreciates the sense of being indifferent to humanity, like a mountain. Peter believes this genre has its place in our built history, and that we can never build that way again.
When not in the office Peter enjoys making the best use of the small patch of land he has in Berwick – cultivating the soil, using what is there, feeding his family with what he grows and the fauna. He is also a fan of Dissonant Music, particularly the works of Harrison Birtwistle and Alfred Schnittke.
