Growing up in Wellington New Zealand, Rosana (Zana) comes from a large family of creatives of Cook Island/Maori heritage. In 2016 she made the trip across the ditch and settled in Queensland where she started a property styling business. This is where her love for interior design was cemented, so Zana went on to study her Diploma of Interior Design & Decoration at Collart in Melbourne.
While on maternity leave Zana embarked upon her passion project, designing and handmaking a range of slow, open ended, multi-functional homewares for babies and children. And her brand, Nub was created. All her products are made from ethically and responsibly sourced sustainable materials where possible.
In her spare time, Zana loves being outdoors with her daughter Olive, Partner Jesse and Furr kid Franklin.
Zana’s philosophy is to keep stretching and challenging herself, so over the next 5 years she hopes to complete a drafting certificate and be a certified passive house designer. She hopes to continue to educate and influence clients and herself on how we can build more responsibly. She believes sustainable design will become the future of architecture and interior design.
“It is most important to me that I help clients create a space that they will enjoy now and well into the future. Simple, timeless and functional spaces are what I love to design. Fashion and trends fade, buy once and buy well.” – Rosana
