Renovation and Extension Reservoir

The kids had moved out and our clients had just sold their big double storey home to downsize and bought this rundown 2 bedroom home. The house was too dark, cold and draughty, had no direct connection to the garden and the floor plan was just not working for the couple. 

With some simple tweaks we rearranged the entire floor plan. Turned the existing garage into a 3rd bedroom and added a new single garage at the side of the house. The existing bathroom and laundry have been removed and have created a spacious open kitchen / living / dining area that opens up to the garden and a new deck. 

Highly efficient Upvc double glazed windows have been installed throughout, insulation has been retrofitted to all walls, the roof and the floor.  It does feel very European with the windows and the hydronic heating panels. The clients did such an amazing job as owner builders.
